The BoomBit Group’s game revenues amounted to $5.44M (-1.6% m/m) in January 2023.  User Acquisition expenses increased to $3.25M (+15.5% m/m), while platform fees decreased to $0.51M (-28.4% m/m). Revenues less UA and platform fees amounted to $1.68M (-16.0% m/m), and the total number of downloads of the BoomBit Group’s games  last month was 17 million.

January was a special month for our mid-core games - Hunt Royale and Darts Club. Thanks to User Acquisition campaigns, the number of downloads, DAUs and revenues were much higher than the average in previous years. For this type of campaign, the return on investment is longer than three months. In the short term, this means a decrease in profits, but long-term it takes these games to a new level of profit, and that's what we're expecting from both of these titles this year. Lower platform fees than in December is a positive effect of Google's policy, according to which we pay less to reach the threshold of $1M in revenue from micropayments. In the Hyper-Casual games segment, where we had lower spending on User Acquisition, we are currently working on new releases that should improve the results of this part of our business. BoomPick, our JV with CherryPick Games, has officially published the first game on the App Store. Royal Merge is a merge-2 game with addictive gameplay and amazing graphics where you can build a mighty Kingdom and even grow your own Dragon! The game was warmly received and got promotional support from the App Store around the world, including key markets such as the US and EU. In the coming weeks, we'll be working to make this game more visible on the Google Play store as well.”

The best top-earning games in January 2023 were Hunt Royale ($2.12M) and Darts Club ($0.75M). Among Hyper-Casual games, as in the previous month, Falling Art Ragdoll Simulator generated the highest revenue ($0.40M).

The group continues intensive work on blockchain projects in BoomLand and PlayEmber. As a result of BoomLand’s partnership with Polygon and Magic Eden, at the end of January 2023, sales of the first NFT collection from the soft-launch Hunters On-Chain game began. It was very popular, and the sale itself ended with one of the best results in the history of the Magic Eden platform.

Over the last 12 months, we built BoomLand from scratch, raised capital, almost closed the pre-seed round and completed the first NFT sale. The sales of the first NFT collection alone turned out to be one of the most successful in the history of Polygon and Magic Eden, selling out in just 18 seconds. Against all odds and during one of the most challenging times in the blockchain industry, we achieved our goals for 2022. In 2023, the BoomLand platform will continue to grow with the launch of Hunters On-Chain and further NFT sales. We want to use our experience in mobile gaming to bring millions more players to the Web3 space.
